Understand help during an independent check
You can use help during discussion and guided practice. In an independent check, work on a new task without relevant platform help.
Use discussion to think aloud
Ask for an explanation, test a line of reasoning or compare two approaches. Discussion is for learning through the question, not for silently creating a formal answer attempt.
Use guided practice
Hints, worked examples and selected references can support practice. They are useful when you have a clear gap; using help is not a failed attempt.
Attempt the task before opening help
For an independent check, work from the task itself before opening related help. The purpose is to see what you can do on a new problem under the stated platform conditions.
Read the purpose before submitting
When you have learning access, Discuss and Answer this question select different intentions. Check the message beside Send or Submit answer. If it says that discussion will close the current independent task as assisted, take that into account before sending.
